P.S. I did once tell a writer (per e-mail, not publicly) one eensy, teensy bit of advice that might make her sequel even more awesome than her first book, and she was so royally pissed off, that I have never tried such an act of hubris again. Lesson learned!

I would never presume I am telling a writer how to get it right in a review. Reviews are for readers, not writers!

Lol, I get your point. After all, I hate having people to tell me what to do and if I saw a negative review I would be hurt at first but I think I would appreciate the honesty (and if it's a tip about how teens don't talk the way I think they do, I might take that tip into account) but I don't really know since I'm not a writer.

Creepy but interesting song. The first itme I learned about Grace Jones was when I watched the bond movie starring her. I really liked it and it was nice to finally see a Black person in one of the movies. I did think she was a bit crazy but i admire her daringness (is that word? haha)

"Authors aren’t meant to make books that are “perfect,” but to perfect how they express themselves." I like that, Chels. :D People are hitting me with great quotes left and right these days.

I love your attitude towards reviews--can you imagine if authors followed every reviewer's advice? Books would be sludge. Too many cooks would spoil the story, and anyway authors aren't meant to make books that are "perfect," but to perfect how they express themselves, or something like that. No books are perfect, because that's boring, and the more someone hates a book, the more someone else loves it.
